FrontierAid Integrated Development Initiative (FAIDI) is a Somali, female-led organization working alongside vulnerable communities to build resilience, restore dignity, and create pathways to peaceful and self-reliant futures.
Founded in 2024, FAIDI is a Somali non-governmental organization led predominantly by women and rooted in community experience. We respond to urgent humanitarian needs while supporting long-term solutions that help families recover, adapt, and thrive.
FAIDI operates across Banadir, Lower Shabelle, Middle Shabelle, Bay, Bakool, and Hiran regions—reaching urban slums, rural communities, and conflict-affected areas.
Women are central to survival, recovery, and peace in Somali communities. As a female-led organization, FAIDI ensures women’s voices shape decisions, programs, and leadership—benefiting entire communities.
FAIDI uses a people-centered, conflict-sensitive, and locally driven approach. Communities are involved at every stage—from identifying priorities to implementing and monitoring activities.

Supporting households to meet food needs and restore livelihoods through sustainable agriculture, skills development, and income-generating activities.

Promoting access to education and empowering youth through skills, leadership, and positive engagement opportunities.

Preventing and responding to GBV through awareness, survivor-centered support, and community protection mechanisms.
